CSCS Working at Height Test Questions - Call 0844 682 0844 to book cscs test

Acquiring a CSCS card requires a good grasp of many health and safety topics and for this CSCS mock test you’ll be asked a series of basic safety questions on the topic “working at height”.
These questions will be similar to the ones found in the High Risk Activities section of the official Health Safety and Environment Test questions and answers book.
As stated on the HSE website, falls from height remains one of the main causes of fatalities and major injuries. Some of the most common accidents include falling from ladders and falls through fragile surfaces. Before you can get a CSCS card you’ll need to demonstrate that you’re competent and capable of protecting yourself and others from the hazards associated with working at height.
There are 12 questions in this CSCS practice test, each question will require a single answer and all the answers are at the bottom of the page.

CSCS Health and Safety Test Questions - cscs health and safety test practice questions

For this CSCS mock test we’ll be looking at some common practice questions which are covered in the “Electrical safety and hand-held tools and equipment” section of the CSCS test revision book.
Like all of our other CSCS health and safety mock tests, our goal is to provide you with practice questions that are identical to the ones you encounter when taking your test so you can pass first time and get your CSCS card.
If you’re preparing to take the test for your CSCS labourer card then you’ll be pleased to know that these practice questions are similar to the ones you’re going to face. This CSCS health and safety mock test consists of 15 random questions, some questions require a single and some questions require multiple answers so please ensure to read through each question carefully. All answers are at the bottom of the page.
1. What should you do if the guard from a power tool you need to use is missing?
a. Improvise an make your own
b. Carry on using it but be very careful and work very slowly

How to renew a CSCS Card



To renew a CSCS card you need to prove you have the appropriate training and qualifications required to carry out your job.  You also need to pass the CITB Health Safety and Environment test.  The test costs £29.99.  The type of work you do, how experienced you are and your qualifications or membership of professional bodies will determine which type of CSCS card you should apply for and which test you need to pass. You must advise us if you have changed occupation since your exising cscs card was issued. 
If you are renewing your own card, once you have passed the appropriate CITB Health, Safety and Environment test, please call the CSCS Contact Centre on 0844 682 0844.  Before you ring please ensure you have a credit or debit card to pay £50 for the card and details of your current or previous employer’s details including contact name, full address and telephone number.  Your card will usually be dispatched on the next working day.

For Construction Site Operative Card Employers



From 1st July 2014 the CSCS card that should be applied for depends on the type of work individuals carry out on site and/or the qualifications they have achieved.  If you apply for cards on behalf of your employees and:
they do not work in a labouring occupation use the CSCS cardfinder to find out which is the right card for them.  Further information is also available here.
they work in a labouring occupation you can apply for the new green Labourer card You will need to provide evidence they have achieved one of the following:
QCF Level 1 or SCQF Level 4 Award Health and Safety in a Construction Environment.*
or
One day Site Safety Plus Health and Safety Awareness course
or
IOSH Working Safely
They must also pass the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment test within two years prior to applying for a new card. You can find out more about the test here.

For Construction Site Operative Card holders


Your green CSO card will remain valid until its current expiry date.
If you do not work in a labouring occupation use the CSCS cardfinder to find out which is the right card for you depending on the type of work you carry out and/or the qualifications you hold.  There is further information explaining your options here.
If you work in a labouring occupation you can apply for the new green Labourer card.  You will need to provide evidence that you have achieved one of the following:
QCF Level 1 or SCQF Level 4 Award Health and Safety in a Construction Environment*
or
One day Site Safety Plus Health and Safety Awareness Course
or
IOSH Working Safely

What is the pass mark on the cscs exam ?


The pass mark that is required for the Operative CSCS Test is 37 out of 50. In order to pass the specialized CSCS test, a score of 46 out of 50 is required. The Construction Skills Certification Scheme is a computer based multiple choice test.
